Incorporated in 1988 as a privately owned company, Alifax S.p.a. is one of the most important Italian company, specialized in the development, production and distribution of automated clinical diagnostic instrumentation for the determination of the Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) and Bacterial Culture in Urine and Human Biological Liquids.

Recognizing the need for innovation in the diagnostic Health Care System, Alifax is strongly focused on scientific research and technology development obtaining in the years many worldwide patents in the haematology and bacteriology fields.
Alifax also enjoys collaborative interactions with authoritative academic scientists, who enable the company to collect more than 100 national and international scientific publications.

Alifax S.p.A. marketing and sales offices are based in Padova, the city of a major Italian Medicine University while the production and the Research & Development departments are located in Udine at SIRE ANALYTICAL SYSTEMS facilities, acquired by Alifax in 1998.
The R&D department is focused new diagnostic products in microbiology and haematology with particular interest in opto-electronics and its applications in medical diagnostic field. Sire is also responsible for the technical support providing a rapid and professional assistance.
